Historical Week!

Well, everyone, DollVille Spirit Month is underway! We’re kicking it off with Historical Week!

So, each week, I’ll just share a couple pictures that I took that fit the theme. And you can send pictures for any week at any time! If the email isn’t working, you can always post the pictures on your blog and then tell me in the comments.

Okay, here are my contributions for Historical Week!

I was going for an Anne of Green Gables kind of vibe, which would set this at the late 1800s or early 1900s.

I don’t think it’s too bad…the surrounding scenery isn’t great, though, what with all the snow outside my window. Also, the succulent is super random–it’s just disguising the little window-opening lever-thing.

Miriam’s dress is a nightgown that I folded over to be a more day-dress length. You can see the bobby pin I used to hold it up (since I didn’t want to make permanent alterations). I did Miriam’s braids myself, which I’m pretty proud of, because RJ usually does my dolls’ hair for me!

Pretty girl! Though there are quite a few flyaways…

Those boots are just SO CUTE! They came with an outfit that RJ got me for my birthday.😁

So that’s my historical outfit! If you’re planning to participate, share your ideas below–I’d love to hear them!

Have a great Historical Week!

  1. Aww, I love Miriam’s dress! And the boots! Doll boots are awesome! Also, Anne of Green Gables, yay!!
Ooh, I’ll have to see what historical things I can find for my dolls to wear! I might try a more recent decade.
