The Dolly Crazy Tag

Heyyy, everyone! Today’s post is the Dolly Crazy Tag, which I was nominated for by ForestPoodle88 from Hedgehog Hollow. Thanks, ForestPoodle!

And now for the tag!

What was your most embarrassing memories of your dolls?

I don’t know if I really have a super embarrassing memory of my dolls. There have been a couple times where I was taking pictures outside and my neighbors came out–that was mildly embarrassing, but nothing too bad overall.

Why do enjoy your dolls/doll?

I loved writing stories, but I never had the patience to write whole novels like RJ. Writing stories about my dolls was a way to have a continuous story about palpable characters. And when I started writing stories and making crafts, I got into more doll fashion and photography. So I enjoy them for fulfilling my imagination.

What is your favorite memory of your dolls?

My favorite memory–or rather, memories–are unboxing my AGs. I got Miriam, Heather, and Camille all on different Christmases. Sadie was from Easter, and Laura was from the AG Benefit Sale. So I’m going to share all of their unboxing stories! I’ll make them short, don’t worry. 😉

Miriam:

I was really little when I got Miriam, so I don’t remember a whole lot about her unboxing, but I DO remember trying to steal every name the RJ suggested for her own doll (Izzy). Yes–I actually tried to take the name Isabelle from her.🤣

Camille:

I remember seeing her box wrapped up and being like, “Oh my GOSH, I actually got a WellieWisher!” It was the perfect size to be a WW, and I was certain that I’d gotten Cami because Camille was the only doll I’d ever wanted from that collection.

Heather:

Our grandparents asked us in advance what dolls we wanted, and we unboxed them on Christmas. It was so awful, because we had to wait until we’d unwrapped everything else before opening our dolls (RJ got Jessi the same Christmas I got Heather).

Sadie:

We always have to hunt around our house for our baskets (one year a basket was in the washing machine…or maybe the dryer), and when I found mine, I was ecstatic to see a precious little baby, the perfect size for the dolls’ new sister!

Laura:

The shipping for the AG Benefit Sale was estimated to take about a month, but we still had no idea when the dolls would come. When the boxes finally came, I was thinking, “It’s obviously not the dolls, don’t get your hopes up.” But, of course, it was Laura and RJ’s Dahlia!😁

That took a hot second! 🤣 Okay, next question!

Is there ever a time when you don’t like your dolls?

Not really. There’ll be times when I’m not inspired to do a post and they kind of just sit around in my closet, but I don’t ever dislike them.

Do you have a favorite picture of your dolls?

My dolls’ profile pictures are my favorite pictures of them, but a couple other favorites are:

Has there ever been a time when you kinda forgot about your dolls?

Unfortunately, it happens every few months. I don’t feel very inspired to post anything, and they just languish away in my closet while I’m involved with something else. For example, I’ve had short phases where I go back to my 1:6 scale dolls (aka Barbies) and I forget about the AGs for a bit.

When blogging about your dolls do you ever feel uninspired/out of ideas for the next post?

YES. This happens all the time! The post, “A Trip to the Coffee Shop” that gave me SO much trouble. I couldn’t figure out whether to make it a photostory (I haven’t posted one in a while, but I didn’t really feel like it) or an indoor photoshoot. I finally just decided to take some pictures and narrate because that was what felt right.

That concludes the questions, which means it’s time for the tags!

I tag…

  2. I really like reading everyone’s answers to this tag! It was cool hearing about how you got your dolls!
My mother has hidden Easter stuff on me before too. I got an orange kettle last year, but I had to go searching for it in the basement first!
My favourite colours are orange and green (I can’t ever decide which one!), but I can’t pick a favourite real animal because so many of them are so cute! My favourite fantasy animal is a dragon though. What are your favourites?
